Groundbreaking program connects the private and public sector to bring innovative technologies to the government

WASHINGTON–Dcode42, a government-focused accelerator, today announced the launch of an intensive, two-week program in partnership with Techstars, a global ecosystem for entrepreneurs. The program’s goal is to connect innovative technologies with the U.S. government by drawing on the combined entrepreneurial expertise and extensive networks of both Techstars and Dcode42.
“Techstars accelerates the pace of innovation by strengthening the path for entrepreneurs, and our partnership with Dcode42 bridges this into a strategic and rewarding market: government,” said David Brown, founder and co-CEO at Techstars. “The Techstars++ program with Dcode42 provides our alumni with a one-of-a-kind experience with unparalleled mentorship from both industry and government leaders who can benefit from each other’s solutions.”
The program’s rigorous curriculum includes exclusive briefings with key stakeholders and leaders from government agencies such as the NGA, FCC, DHS, CBP, US Digital Services, FAA, DOI, and The White House.

The program, formally named Techstars++ in Partnership with Dcode42, has selected a small group of exceptional Techstars alumni to participate in the inaugural class, including:

- SPIDRTech Running from September 19-30, 2016 at the new WeWork location, Manhattan Laundry, in Washington D.C., the program will conclude with a showcase at the Booz Allen Innovation Center featuring guest speakers such as Department of Labor’s Chief Innovation Officer, Xavier Hughes. The program is supported by sponsorship from Amazon Web Services, WeWork, and Booz Allen Hamilton.
